Please read the following Workshop Policies before registering: 

Workshop Registration:

• Course dates are offered based on demand and will be cancelled if the minimum number of registrants is not met. 
• All registrations and payments are to be completed online through www.nipissingu.ca/training
• All workshops will have a “registration due date” ten days prior to the workshop so that SCS can appropriately determine attendance. 
• A confirmation e-mail will be sent by the Secretary to all registrants 1 week prior to the workshop date, this e-mail includes the room location. 
• If any special accommodations are required to take part in a workshop, participants are encouraged to contact us at [email protected] . 

Workshop Location:

• All workshops will take place at Nipissing University (100 College Drive, North Bay ON) unless otherwise specified.
• Paid parking is available at the University. Please visit https://www.nipissingu.ca/departments/vpfa/facilities/parking for more information. 

Workshop Schedule/ Attendance:

• The schedule of the workshop is dictated by course content. Each schedule includes breaks and a lunch period (full day workshop). These timings are determined by workshop content and may vary slightly. 
• Participants should plan to attend the entire workshop. Individuals who are absent for 20 minutes or more, are not eligible to receive a certificate for participation. If you need to leave the workshop, or plan to attend only a partial session, please inform the facilitators in advance. 
• Food/meals are not provided during any of our certificate workshops 

Workshop Fees/Cancellations/Refunds: 

• There is a fee for participation in most Certificate Courses.
• If a workshop is cancelled, a notification by e-mail will be sent up to at least 5 days prior to the scheduled workshop. The options will be to request a free refund or transfer the registration to another workshop date or course.
• There is a $10 administration fee for all refunds, except if we have had to cancel the workshop. 
  • Refunds are only provided if cancellation is made more than 5 days in advance of the workshop date. 
  • If a refund is not available, participants may elect to transfer their registration to another workshop within the same academic year.
